Always prefer the nickel finish, almost exclusively use peerless hinged on the job. (Gotta love PD administrators that can’t wake up to realize ASP has some great options too) That said, you can’t go wrong with Peerless. If you’re in the same boat as me (being your bosses can’t fathom there are better options out there) go for this. If not, go get a set of aluminum ASP ultra cuffs.

These really are good cuffs. My only complaint is the width between them. For people with larger hands it can be difficult to index the cuffs. I bought a set of their chain cuffs too for thief reason, and to cuff non-compliant suspects.

Pin push double lock feature as well as having the key hole in the center is extremely helpful and useful. This set works substantially better than many others I’ve tried. Definitely prefer hinge over chain, less likely to get your fingers broken with a non compliant suspect.
