Know what you’re getting, before you buy. Look up “Adamas lock fail” on YouTube. Plenty of videos on this knife’s lock disengaging when enduring shock. Not an issue on the old d2 Adamas, only on the newer cruwear Adamas. If you’re looking for a knife to bet your life on, get a cold steel recon 1, a damn excellent knife. Once again, recon 1 equals damn EXCELLENT knife.
So, with that said, this Adamas is a well made knife. Excellent grind, superior build quality and action. This is a pure cutting tool and nothing else.

I only purchase bench made knives to start. I know I can always find bench made on githubja.com at a value for the money. This is a bulkier knife as it should be. I always go with bench made due to the fact of the metal they use for their blades and the razor like sharpness it keeps over multiple uses. I am an FDE guy and this color was perfect for me. High Quality knife by far.

I consider this my rural/hiking EDC. Built like a tank(as cliche as it sounds, it truly is a great description of how great this knife looks, feels and operates!)and has a smooth and sturdy action when opening. Out of the box razor sharp! Great steel! Every Benchmade I’ve owned has always surpassed my expectations and utterly justified whatever price I paid! I am currently waiting for my Benchmade Claymore out the side auto. The Claymore will be my urban/work EDC. Benchmade knives always put a smile on my face!

I’ve used the Adamas 275 daily since I got it and it is hands down the best and most useful cutting tool I’ve ever had. Perfect ergonomics, my favorite blade steel (CPM Cruwear), and a buttery smooth action. I never worry about doing anything with this knife. It eats up rope and paracord, cardboard, rubber hydraulic lines, thick scotch brite belts I sometimes have to cut at work, I’ve cut a pizza into slices that we got at dinner one night that wasn’t already cut, I can go on and on. It holds an edge great, the cerakote coating is holding up nicely and even if it wasn’t I wouldn’t care because I love this thing. I EDC it in my pocket or in a sheath on my belt that I bought from American Bench Craft (highly recommend their products btw) if I want to change out my pocket knife. No matter what this knife is on me and and always will be.

I’ve only had this knife for a couple months and I have already put it through Hell. Everyday I abuse it with a new task working on the farm and each morning it wakes up asking for more. Right out of the box this thing could shave the hair off a gnats behind, and after cutting through chicken wire, tree roots, boxes, and oyster shucking the edge is still sharp enough to cut paper and there is virtually no play in the locking mechanism (which is genuinely surprising after all the twisting and prying). We seriously used it to shuck about 30 oysters after our cheap shucker broke on some particularly stubborn shells, though the cruwear steels coating took a couple shots the edge and tip of the knife are still in excellent shape. The only downside to this knife is that it is big and burly, which to me is actually an upside as I am a bigger dude with bigger hands, which means I also have bigger pockets so the size of the knife doesn’t bother me. It does however bother my Fiance when I whip it out to open a box or something in public. Fantastic knife that will continue to be my EDC.
