Before I sprang for a GoRuck to replace my years-old molle monster of a pack that I use for an airline carry-on, I decided to give this pack a try. The lack of molle is nice to avoid the mistaken impression I am active duty on leave or somesuch. The material is listed as ‘nylon’ and while I would prefer cordura, the material seems plenty strong. It fits close to the body and up high for a more ruck-like profile. I’ve already traveled with it and my benchmark 3-days’ worth of shirts, underwear, socks, pants, soft shell plus toiletry kit fits no problem with room to spare. I could carry a 5-day supply of street clothes in this thing if I wear the same pants for a couple days. Get some Velcro one-wrap and use it to roll up your jacket and wrap it over the top of the bag for even more space. I especially like the completely open interior. Its essentially a big dump pouch. Its up to you to organize your gear to fit best which is fine with me.

Like everyone else said, I was issued this bag in blk color back in 2003 and still use it daily. Its worn and not as crsipy but zero holes, tears, blown out seams, or broken zippers. I beat this bag for over 20 years, 10 years of that active duty, and will still keep it around for use even though I got the new one in coyote. The new one is identical to the issued 2003 bag and it didn’t fall in the annual redesign rut… Why? CAUSE ITS ALREADY PERFECT.

Ya llevo unos años con ella y sigue intacta, no se ha roto ni desgastado.
Vale totalmente la inversión.

In the late 90s I had an Eagle III Assault Pack The design was the same as the Blackhawk 3 Day Assault Pack all of my friends had the Blackhawk so we compared it was the same bag. I gave my Eagle bag away after 2 deployments plus more than 10 years of everyday abuse and use. I found this Blackhawk bag and I was super excited I ordered it. This Blackhawk 3 Day Assault bag arrived yesterday – I discovered that the webbing is thin, quite thin, the YKK zippers are not branded, The body of the bag is solid internally and externally. I further discovered that the Eagle Industries as well as Blackhawk were sold to ATK, this explained a lot. Like many things these days a big company buys up a good selling quality product and changes are made. Initially I was extremely disappointed, these bags are solid I bought them out of nostalgia and tested them by loading them with rocks the webbing is thinner but solid. I updated this post and changed my rating from 1 star to 4.

Solid pack, capable of taking a beating. Adaptable, having the capacity to carry a fair-size load.

This is my third bag. One was lost, and my second bag is now my wife’s bag. I had to buy the third bag to have one of my own. For the last twenty years this bag has been in my life. I will always use and love this bag.

This is a large heavy duty pack and I have two of them. I am very happy with it. Note, if you like a bunch of small pockets and organizers, this isnt the pack for you. It has 3 large pockets, thats it. If you like to dump large amounts of gear in a large pouch, this works great. If you are looking to have 20 smaller pockets to organize your gear you may like a Vanquest or Maxpedition pack better.

Very tough-looking bag, I hope it will last a long time. Discovered this brand when looking to purchase a second, larger, Kriega. Only fault I could give it is the inability to adjust shoulder strap length at the top of the bag to center pack on back.

Not made in USA,made in veitnam. Qaulity of build is good, materials are good. Lots of space. I could have purchaced a condor 3day assault pack for a little over 100.00 dollars. the build and qaulity is just as good. And i would not have spent 160.00 on a pack not made in the USA. Will be taking this pack to the Good will.

This backpack will last you a life time. I have a black one that I use for work and a carry-on when traveling. It’s tuff, rugged and I use the new one as an Gym bag. It is roomy too and much better than any jan-sport pack you’ll buy..
