   I was looking for a cordless spotlight. It can be difficult sometimes to choose between rechargeable and replacement battery type devices. Recently I feel I’ve had less than optimal performance from rechargeable devices so I opted to try this one which has replaceable batteries. So far this has not been a problem. At first sight the unit appeared too small to be really effective – it is smaller than the corded spotlights I’ve had – but I found it to be remarkably bright and I am so far very pleased with it. I haven’t explored for effective distance yet, but at least around the property it is unexpectedly bright and effective at illuminating the area. The unit appears and feels well constructed and not too heavy (just a little heavier than the combined weight of the 4 C-sized batteries). Perhaps the only drawback is it does not have a momentary switch. While the switch can be locked to prevent movement, it is either on or off (and can be locked on or off). The switch does not have a distinctive detent, such as a physical “click”, which may or may not be a bad thing (I’ve had some switches that “feel” the same fail after repeated use). Will have to see how this pans out as I also tend to use a spotlight in relatively short bursts. This light is a convenient size for a spotlight, but won’t fit in a pocket. To date I’ve been very pleased.

   Update 2 years later and this is the BEST little spot light. Use it all the time works so well!

   Small compact light bright light
   We use to look for wild pigs in our yard at night. This was a replacement for a large super bright massive spot light from cabelas. It sadly died and wanted something that didn’t have recharge only feature as our high humidity seems to wreck batteries very fast.
   Has trigger finger on off high low button. Not my favorite style I tend to hit it wrong and get low when I want high etc. not really a big deal for home use. It personally was more money then I wanted to spend for a light but the alternative lower cost were recharge only. Hope it holds up in our weather

   I love this little spotlight and have had it for several years. It is very bright and have used it during blackouts, camping trips, etc. It is a very practical and portable spotlight. I love it because it uses batteries. The only downside is that the rubber body becomes extremely tacky after a few years of loving use. it is as if the rubber is melting and sticks to one’s fingers. Dust sticks to it like a magnet. I love this little spotlight and works great, just some tips how to stop the body being sticky or tacky would be great. if it is just old age, maybe I should start looking for a new one?

    The beam is non-adjustable and has a very narrow focus. That is the most important thing I wish I knew before buying this item, which I chose based on the brand, to ensure I would get a higher quality LED.
    It is fairly bright, and seems to be fairly durable considering how lightweight it is.
    I see knockoff Chinese clones of this light for sale for cheaper and honestly I am unsure if this light is superior enough quality to justify the cost, after owning and using it for 8 months.
    I like it and will consider buying this brand or a similar competitor again, only next time I know I will need to spend a bit more than $60 to get the quality of spotlight I want.
