Buck has amazed me again with their flawlessness to their knives. the selkirk is super sharp out of the box, i mean razor sharp!!! the knife is centered nicely, smooth deployment. hefty knife, but can be handled by most. full flat grind is nice, satin finish is nice, the lock up is very tight, no movement at all. i haven’t used the striker system that comes with it yet, but i am optimistic about the combo, but love it still. the belt loop is limited as to how big your belt is. that is something to watch out for. if you have a wide belt it probably wont go thru.i think it’s about an one inch. other than that. this knife was priced it over 80 dollars 3months ago and now is down to less than 50. must buy!!!! if you dont like buck at all, your missing out on a wonderful buy! solid knife for cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been using Buck knives for many years because of their quality blade, durability, and guarantee. I have several different Buck blades and only had one fail. Buck Knives replaced the failed blade, no questions asked. I use this folder as my standard every day carry utility knife (the state I live in has strict carry laws for fixed blades, but no restriction on folders). The other reason is the blade holds a razor sharp edge and is somewhat easy to sharpen when needed. The blade is easy to deploy and retract with one hand, which is the finishing touch on an every day carry blade.

Beautiful knife, looks stunning and feels great in the hand. Seems to have a nice sturdy lock and mine came razor sharp out of the box. I spent a long time trying to decide between this and two other folders to replace my current one. Glad I chose the Selkirk.

Liked the fixed blade Selkirk so much that i bought the folder as well.Beautiful knife, a fusion between modern and classic.Very well made – the scales and liners fit perfectly,no gaps, zero blade play, well centered blade, solid liner lock, feels heavy duty for hard cutting. It is not a large knife but is still a full four finger grip.Extremely comfortable handle with no hot spots especially if you remove the pocket clip. The full flat grind blade is a great slicer. It is thicker and heavier than many folders but i like this.It feels like a very solid folding hunting knife.Open pillar construction for easy cleaning.
It says China on it, but yet 30$ for a rock solid ,great quality knife.
