   It’s big. This is something you will know is in your pocket. That being said I’ve carried it for a couple weeks and it has not been a hindrance and has been comfortable. Even though the knife is big it cuts well and the handle really fits the hand well. When you have this knife in a full grip you feel locked in with no slipping. The back “tang” on the handle is more useful than I originally thought, I’ve already used it to bash in loose nails, and knock out old plywood and it barely has a scratch. The one negative thing I will say is that it can be a bit stiff when unfolding at first, but with use it gets easier, and some oil will help it on its way.

   This is a knife that can do it all. Heavy duty and ergonomically designed. One of the most comfortable grips. I have medium to large sized hands.

   I have most of Cold Steels’ folding knives. It’s main rivals would be the Lawman and the Recon 1. Basically comes down to personal preference. This is my preference.

   The wave feature works flawlessly. I love the tactical look. Very slicy. I love the shape of the blade. It’s also has a glass breaker. Also, in the saber grip, you gain another inch and a half in reach.

   One of my personal favorites. No weak points in my opinion. Note: Its not a fidgeter.

   This updated version of the AK-47 folder features G10 scales, and the Demko “triad-lock”. This one is light-weight, tough, and fast-to-deploy with the pocket-wave device. My knife arrived ahead of schedule, and was securely-packaged. It came razor-sharp from the factory-box. Product comes with two pocket-clips per your orientation. As with most Cold Steel clips; they are pretty-tight until they break-in. The 3.5″ blade-steel is S35VN, which is a martensitic stainless-steel. Which has better machining properties, than standard S30V. The blade comes ‘DLC-coated’, and is a step-up from the original black teflon-coating. The handle-profile fits the hand well, and allows for a solid-grip. This model features a ‘glass-breaker’ made of aluminum, and comes with a lanyard hole. The “47” is a great-option in the EDC-rotation, especially when; the larger 4 Max and Spartan warblades aren’t called for. I’m pleased with my purchase, not a bad-deal for under a hundred bucks!

   I laughed about these CS AK47s for years because I thought the name was dumb. Then I got my hands on one. I bought it and i haven’t left it at home since. This is a seriously well made, beefy knife that gets any job done and doesn’t pull punches. I have big hands and this knife fits like a glove. Super grippy tough black G10 scales, durable black steel coat that holds up very well under hard use. The back lock is strong as hell with zero blade play. Perfect centering. Taiwan knows quality knives. Steel is S35VN; hard to fault and pretty easy to sharpen. This comes RAZOR sharp and holds its edge extremely well. Blade itself is 3.5″. its big but not stupid-big. The Emerson-style opener on this works like a charm when you want it to and not when you don’t. If you pull this out of your pocket at the right angle the blade safely deploys and comes up ready to go. You won’t be disappointed with this knife. Perfect hard use EDC. I can also whole heartedly recommend the Cold Steel AD-10. It’s another one that feels like it was made perfectly to fit my hand. Try one.

   I have owned this knife for two years and it has never left me down. I have used it for camping, edc, and just all around use on projects around the house. I do not have a single complaint about it. If you’re looking for a knife that will do whatever you ask of it do yourself a favor and buy this one. Also the paint on the blade has stayed in tact and not chipped. I keep up on sharpening the knife when it needs it and it keeps on performing.
