Bright light. Looks nice, although mine came with some small smudge spots that wont just rub off. Might need to use something to get it out. But its not a big deal at all. Fun to use and the click on and off and momentary feel easy to use. Very simple to install, didn’t even need instructions. It comes with rail adapters to be able to move the light closer or farther depending on your gun and how you want it to feel. Works fantastic for the price, 10/10 🙂

I realize that “for an early effort” disclaimer sounds kind of bad but there is only one feature that I need to see in action over time to know how good it is. Read on…
Nice to see that the Smith&Wesson decided to add to the Crimson Trace lineup after acquiring it. Scopes, RDS’s and weapons lights are now in the catalog (if they were there before, I was only aware of their laser sights). This light fits me perfectly. Every light manufacturer wants to squeeze every lumen out of their lights, whether real or…Er…”exaggerated”. But I have found that I need to stay at that 200 lumen mark, especially when turned on in the dark, to keep from having an ocular migraine starting up. It just wouldn’t do to lose one’s vision for 10-15 minutes during a gunfight.
This guy is bright enough without being overwhelming. Great for indoor use. The battery housing is sturdy. The on/off switch is clever and easy to use but I wonder, just a little, how tough it is. How will it stand the test of time? We will see. As of now this is a darn nice light at a reasonable price. I’ll be getting more of these.

I’m a lefty and finding firearm related products that work well for me is always a challenge. This CT CMR 209 is being used on a pepper ball launcher (less than lethal option) so I wanted something that could light up a potential target as the efficacy of the launcher is only up to about 60′. I can’t hit what I can’t see. Plus, the 200 lumens may momentarily distract an aggressor when used, which can be an advantage for me, if only for a second or two.
The light fits my needs but I don’t know how well it would work mounted on a real firearm (taking into condsieration the greater shock from recoil) but I’d recommend it since it fit very well on the accessory rail under the barrel of my device. The activation buttons only require very light pressure and there’s an option to press once and have the light stay on when your finger is removed, or to tap and hold the button to get light. Once your finger is lifted., the light will go off.
I own a CT laser for a real pistol and it has flawlessly operated for many years. I’d buy this again or another of their light/laser products for other applications, if needed.
