   The light is pretty bright, and the strobe is a nice touch too. It was easy to attach to my M&P shield too. The battery life isn’t horrible but definitely pick up some spare batteries to have around if you use it often.

   Received the product and the batteries that came with what was supposed to be a working light are completely dead —signed up for the free batteries for life on crimson trace web site —and ordered a set of 4 batteries from githubja.com for 2-16-2021 hopefully the light works fingers crossed. Received the batteries I ordered from githubja.com installed then and light worked great. I turned this off and on one time the first day when I when I received additional parts for my firearm I tried to turn the light on several times and the switch to do so would not turn on the light after 8 times pressing the switch the light came on. Advice to others its just better to buy it new that way you do not get some other person head ache.

   So I was a bit undecided about buying this light or buying the TLR 6 from streamlight. I already had a streamlight TLR6 on my P365 so I wanted to try something different for my M&P Shield 9. The biggest draw for me was the low price, it was $57.99 when I bought it while the TLR 6 for glock was either $75 without laser or $100 with the laser, it was at least going to be $20-$40 more. Also, just look at it, the Crimson Trace light is a much nicer design than the TLR 6 design. The negative for the Crimson trace design was lack of holsters, this is a new product so I havent been able to find any holster for it yet, while if I had bought the TLR 6 theres holsters galore. I ended up going with the Crimson Trace because I really wanted to try it, and decided If I like it I will just wait for a holster, also I wanted to try out the clip draw, so I figured I would keep that as my setup while I wait for a holster to become available for this setup. Now comparing the two, they are both pretty straightforward and near identical installation process. Take off the screws, pull the 2 sides apart, place them over the front of the trigger guard and re attach the screws. Thats how the TLR 6 is and thats how the Crimson Trace is attached as well, its simple process, but do be careful when re attaching the screws, I screwed a little too much and I stopped just short of popping the screw out on the other side for the bottom screw, but I was able to see it before it pierced through, you might be able to see it in picture 4, right below the button. That was my fault for not being as attentive as I should have been. Im not sure if Crimson Trace did this on purpose or it was accidental, but its a good feature. The battery cover can be removed with your finger tip, just put your finger tip in the star and turn, pretty easy to remove, no tools needed if you have to replace the battery. Also, according to a paper that was in the packaging, Crimson Trace promises Free Batteries for Life. If that is indeed true, thats a great deal. I will update this review If I ever need new batteries, we will see how it goes, thats some great customer service though. Activating the light is similar, theres buttons on both sides so it could be activated with either your left or right hand. The only thing I would say, the button placement is a bit low and it will take some getting used to, I like the button placement on the TLR 6 more. These are just a bit lower than I would like them, but I am sure that as I train with this setup it will not be an issue at all. As for the light, the TLR 6 is 100 lumens and the LTG-770 is also 100 lumes, but upon activating the Crimson Trace light, it seemed brighter, so I went and grabbed my P365 with a TLR6(which as I write this review, has only been out 2-3 months, and Ive owned it 2, so the light is new) and the Crimson Trace Light is not only a little brighter, it seems significantly brighter. So thats a definite plus for me. The light has 2 functions, constant on or strobe, Im not a fan of the strobe and I dont see myself using it, but it does work well and is available for those who may find a need for it. Also just like the TLR 6 you can hold the button and hold the light on until you let go of the button, or you can press the button firmly and the light will remain on. So there are options on how you may chose to use your light. Im very happy with this light, I have no regrets buying it instead of the TLR6 in fact I am glad I did. Its a better light, I will wear it with my Clip Draw while awaiting someone to make holsters for this, but that would be 1 suggestion for the manufacturer. I would put some of these lights in the hands of holster makers a good month ahead of the release date to have some holsters available as soon as they begin selling. Its a big factor in choosing which light to buy, it may keep someone from buying this light if the other options available already have holster options as well. The other suggestion would be to go the O-Light route and make these rechargeable.

   This is exactly what I needed and to my surprise it features strobe when you hold both buttons in. Not sure why any of the website descriptions specify that (maybe that’s what they mean by momentary) but it even says strobe right in the owners manual. Other Crimson Trace lights that have the strobe feature specify that which I thought was odd.

   Anyway, great product! East to install and fits perfect on my 9mm shield plus. Highly recommend!

   For the lower price and lifetime batteries this is a good value. While slightly smaller profile than the TLR-6 it is not quite as bright but adequate. I think the same holsters for the TLR-6 should fit this light.

   Value for money
   I would say 10 out of 10. If you are looking for a decent light that isn’t in the $100 to $200 range for basic home defense this will 100% get the job done. Its not the brightest light on the shelf but its just bright enough to make out a positive ID on your target.

   Its fit perfectly to my M&P Shield 9mm and was easy to install. Three screws and popped in the batteries and there it was.

   Does exactly what it’s supposed to. It does make my small pistol much bulkier. It was also hard to find a holster and when I found one it was expensive. I wish it was easier to take off and put on because I don’t always want it there.
