I like the different settings and the size of the flashlight. Don’t like that the battery doesn’t last long like it says. And I don’t like that you half to take the battery out to charge it I had one that you can just plug it in and it would change, and it lasted a long time but it wasn’t bright enough.

I own this flashlight (TK16) as well as a Fenix E28R and they are both incredible! Battery life is exceptional on the lower settings, which is pretty much all you need on a day-to-day basis. Both of them are extremely bright at max settings, but they do get hot at these levels – again, I’ve never needed to use extreme settings, I just try it once every so often to impress my friends.
My E28R fell into our fishpond and disappeared into the depths, hidden underneath the sludge. More than 6 weeks later, we drained the pond to renovate, and I found my Fenix… pressed the button, and the light came on. All functionality still working perfectly. I’ve cleaned it with a brush and soap and water, so it looks like new, but unfortunately it still smells like sewerage 🙂 but that’s to be expected after 6 weeks in a rotten pond. The attached photo shows both my Fenix TK16 as well as my E28R (after its pond experience).
Over the last few years, I’ve bought Fenix flashlights for myself, my wife, and my mom. Everyone is loving it. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Pretty durable flashlight for a variety of uses like work, camping, and home. Fairly bright for it’s size.

I use this light while on patrol, and it’s one of the best I’ve ever owned. It lights up everything I need, and I can easily lower the intensity to 30 lumens for situations like searching a vehicle. It’s fantastic and, in my opinion, a must-have.

I travel overseas often for work and wanted protection, as crime is up in certain countries, and decided to purchase a tactical flashlight.
If you need an actual flood light, get the NITECORE P20iX. For my needs, the focused center beam on the Fenix was better suited. Four big pluses for me:
1) center focused beam with usable light flood
2) battery charged outside of casing because I don’t trust rubber plugs on charging ports
3) big strobe button makes it much easier to press in emergencies
4) the lowest setting is usable, whereas the NITECORE P20iX‘s lowest setting was mostly useless.
The Fenix is pricey, but if you’re looking for a tactile flashlight for daily use and self defense, I 10/10 recommend the Fenix.

I need to REVISE and IMPROVE my review.
User Error – my original review I called this model “glitchy” but it was my fault. Just as a helpful tip MAKE SURE that both ends are closed tightly for everything to work correctly. I did NOT do this and blamed it on the light. I have noticed in some of my other flashlights they include this Warning in the ad and also in the packaging.
Bought because my other Fenix, the older TK-15 is one of my most trusted full size flashlight/torches. This one is by far the brightest I own but gets hot. The impressive size of the unique 5000mAh battery directly charges with a usb C style cord that lights red while charging and turns green when fully charged.
