   The githubja.com page says it weight 0.6 lbs. I weighed it, and it weighs 1.6 lbs. 1.6 lbs is 0.726 kg. This is quite a lot of weight for its capabilities (not fully water resistant like watershed bags for similar or less weight).

   I have a couple old canvas style buttpacks that I always liked but needed something bigger more versatile and with MOLLE for my setup. I used a 5.11 MOLLE/PALS panel that attached perfectly to an ALICE frame, then attached this to the panel along with a couple other small pouches. Note that there is another newer version of this where the pouches are detachable, but I didn’t need that.

   So it is big in a pattern that is hard to find, if you are looking for a buttpack to negate the need for GP pouches or a maybe a small daypack, this is your guy. A rolled poncho will fill but fit in the outer pockets. Water resistant for certain, even packing extra ammo I have maybe filled it up once.

   So the bad, molle straps are too long. However even if they were not, the fact that they left it the slot for Alice compatibility means you can not get a solid weave through the Molle you are mounting to even with replacement molle straps, because the ones that line up are too low leaving the top half to flop around unless you can find a way to run a harness through and attach.

   For a large buttpack it works, but is certainly not optimal or as good as it could be.

   This pack is very spacious and seems durable, I use it on an Alice belt I would recommend some suspenders if you plan to load this thing up. It takes up quite a bit of space on the belt. The straps used for the molle system are not very good I don’t even use them but the buttons have broke off which is not a problem for me because I use the Alice system. All in all this is a good product for my uses.

   Very well made, larger than most military style butt packs.
   Well made and roomy.
   While it works well as a butt pack, it’s larger size also makes it nice for use as a small day pack if your H or Y harness allows it to attach at the shoulders.

   I was kinda bummed out that the dry bag style flap ripped within the first couple of weeks but my equipment still seems secure and I’m still enjoying this kit.
