The “large” size was a perfect fit. I’m 5’11 and 185 lbs. This vest allows you to put birds in the game bag through the front. The pockets are large and have convenient sleeves for shells. This is well made, sturdy but light enough to wear on warm days!

I like Gamehide’s vests but many of them are made for cold weather hunts so they can fit over thick midwesterner’s jackets, and that doesn’t work very well in AZ. Late dove season on Nov 23rd saw a low in the mid 40’s but a high of 70 degrees! This vest is perfect for these warmer climates and it’s still rugged and durable like their other products. Had 7 mourning dove in the bag and probably could have squeezed in 8 more (bag limit is 15 here), but the vest could use some additional pouches or utility features. Overall, a great value and I highly recommend.

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by the great quality, finish and material feel of this vest! The medium fits my thin/tall (130 lb)16 yr old son perfectly. Not too tight so that it could go over a light fall jacket and also loose/light enough to just wear over a t-shirt for dove or quail. It might be too heavy weight if you are hunting dove in the desert Southwest though. The stitching and construction are very good and I don’t think you could expect more for this price point. The only negative I could see is that the game bag is a tad small if you are trying to stuff a limit of pheasants in it. Plenty big for smaller game like dove, quail, grouse or squirrel .
Waiting on one in my size that should be here any day. I expect it to be of the same quality. Highly recommended if you need a good upland game vest.

This vest is even better than I hoped it would be. Quality all the way. My review gave it a 5 in warmth, but be clear. This is not a heavy or cold weather vest. It is made for fitting over heavy coats or hoodies. Or for wearing in warmer climate hunting situations like early pheasant season or dove season. It is well put together though. The pockets have shell sleeves inside them that you can’t see in the picture, which is a nice touch. And the game pouch goes all the way around to the front for easy stowing of birds or critters. Last but not least I’m a big fella. Almost 300lbs, and big shoulders. So the 4xl is a great fit, and honestly hard to find in most hunting clothing. Overall this is a great vest and I would buy again.

Absolutely loved this vest & I love the look! We took it with us bird hunting, and it worked great – not to mention it looks good compared to some others I’ve seen. The pockets are big and hold plenty of whatever you are needing it to hold. It was durable, good quality, and the color is spot on to what it looks like in the picture. The orange is bright to where you can be easily seen. I had no problems with the zipper, as it zipped and unzipped with ease. It was also light and comfortable while wearing. Would definitely buy again!!

I bought it to have the breathability of a strap vest, while retaining the functionality of a traditional vest. It works. Stays cool. I wish it had a dedicated water bottle pocket and better retention on the front pockets, but otherwise good to go.
