I had higher hopes for this knife. First I thought that I could remove the straps to carry it horizontally. I couldn’t, I had to cut them off. Then it wasn’t sharp out of the box. After several passes through the worksharp it got a little better but not much. I like the look, feel, and finish of this knife but it could be better.

I have 5-6 GCS knives, I was hoping to find an off brand cheaper knife to see how tough it was. I have only found minor imperfections, not even worth mentioning, ie the cost. Did this replace my mora? Yup. It’s a better carver, fits great in the hand. I’ve read all the online reviews, the controversy of where they are made. I agree with one guy, I don’t care if it’s made on the moon by mole men. If it’s a good reliable knife, stays sharp, hones well and holds up I’m happy. And happy I am. I am a proud owner of great knives, at an awesome value. Just the look and the leather is worth the price. Not to mention how well it holds up. So please GCS, continue to make great knives so I can buy them and spread the word! Thank you!

I’m very active. This product did not hold up. After a week of hard use the knife was poking threw the sheath. The edge of the knife was easy to dole and the following week it fell out the sheath never to be seen again.
