   When trying to connect charged it burns me, I though did something bad but when inspected discovered the charger was making contact with something that prevent it to connect, obviously after burning myself I dropped it, and the buttons came off. Definitely spending your money in this is not only a waste but dangerous.

   I’ve had a few of these things. Earlier models had nickel chemistry non-replaceable batteries and they didn’t last. Next came lithium rechargeable but not usb, and charger wasn’t great. This one is the best! Keeps charge a long time and controls are higher quality.

   It is a really useful great to go for a walk or in a trail, the light isn’t the strongest one but works fine and the Stun gun mode make enough noise to scare someone use as self defense, but it seems like the charging lights are no well place it on, since without use mine lost one of the Light cover from the charging indicator AFTER A FEW MONTHS AND WITH ALMOST NOT USE IT BECOME TO BREAK APART 1 OFTHE LED FALLS THE SWITCH FOR THE LIGHT ALSO FALLS AND THE BATTERY START MISS WORK and the worst part is that the period to return has finished

   Replacement battery is not available from Guard Dog, neither do they suggest other options for battery replacement. Other than that, it is a great purchase (until the battery dies)!

   I ordered one and could not get it to work. They suggested I replace the batteries. Why would I need replace batteries in a brand new item? Plus, without instructions I had no idea where the battery compartment was and I could not get any part of the flashlight to unscrew. They apologized and said they would send with the replacement WITH instructions. Second one arrived. Still no instructions and I could still not get it to work. I kept trying to unscrew various parts off the flashlight and FINALLY got the back to unscrew. Wow, there was the battery compartment AND no wonder it would not work. There was a plastic shield blocking the battery from coming in contact with the switch. Gee. What a hassle and exercise in frustration that could have been avoided if they had just SENT INSTRUCTIONS!

    Unfortunately I really wanted to like this product it feels nice and solid built like it can take a beating and still work but I guess the looks of the outside doesn’t reflect the quality of the wiring inside. I never got a chance to use my flashlight my cat knocked it off my shelf that it was on it didn’t fall very far Maybe a foot and a half 2 ft maximum onto carpet somehow the impact must of shook in the internal wiring loose to where it shorted out on the inside it will not stun anything the flashlight does not work and it will not charge anymore I highly recommend finding a different product other than this one because if it cannot even survive a 2 ft fall onto carpet it will not hold up very well if you need it for a self-defense situation

    I received this flashlight and stun gun combination through the githubja.com Vine Voice program. I had no problem charging it fully. The flashlight works properly, and the stun gun definitely works. This is the perfect size for holding, storing in your bag, or putting into a coat pocket. It’s lightweight, too! The device has an activation button on the bottom side of the handle so you have to turn that on first. Next, you can select the flashlight only or the stun feature. In this way, you do have some safety measures, and then, you need to take responsibility for your finger being the ultimate or last step in safety. Be responsible and be safe!! Anyhow, this item is as described. I will update if this device fails or malfunctions.
