So far these have worked really well. Audio quality is ok, not Studio quality but just fine for music while you work. I bought them mainly to wear while hunting and they did a great job of suppressing gunfire while still letting me hear what’s going on. It is a little difficult to tell direction on soft noises but even high dollar hearing aids have that problem. Overall, a great buy and priceless protection for your ears.

I work in a machine shop where I’m required to wear hearing protection. These work great and keeping the machine noise to bare minimum and I can still kinda hear people talking to me. I do have to take one side out to have a conversation with someone. And being that they are wired togather my long hair will sometimes catch the cord and pull it loose from my ear. Took a bit to figure out the right tips for my ears. And so far the battery has lasted the 10 hours it says it has.

Most people do NOT have ears sensitive enough to distinguish between low quality and high quality headphones. It is important to keep in mind that these are first and foremost NOT headphones!
These are for ear protection when using firearms or working with heavy machinery. They do a fantastic job at this.
Using them to talk on the phone worked well enough and about as good as my Plantronics Bluetooth headpiece.
The external microphones are fairly good also but struggle when there is a lot of ambient noise, such as many people talking at once (crowded area’s) and also struggle to pick up sound below a certain range (such as whispering or low voices).
All that said, I have used them for playing music thru my phone also and found they work well for that task also. Battery drained about 10% per hour of use with music playing and full noise cancellation on. Buy them for what they are intended and get a bonus with Bluetooth music and call chat capabilities. Do not buy these because you want something like air pods.

After owning the same pair of H.Leight Impact Sports for 10 years I wanted to upgrade to connect to bluetooth and improve cheek weld on a stock without interfering with my hearing protection. These earbuds seemed to fit the bill even though I’ve been happy with my previous hearing protection. I’ve been very disappointed with these. When the bluetooth is on there is constant feedback in the form of clicking and white noise. Its exhausting and still audible when music is playing. When its off, the connectivity light constantly flashes blue/red because its searching for a connection. This was visually distracting and awkward when working around other people. The audio quality is very poor with bluetooth on or off and the sound amplification was mediocre. Yes you can hear sound but its not much more amplified than your normal hearing. Not at all comparable to the almost superhuman hearing of the standard over-the-head Impact Sport’s. I think Honeywell would do well to ditch the bluetooth as trying to combine it with sound amplification seems to generate feedback. Maybe because its unshielded. They may be better off developing a less expensive and strictly noise canceling earbud. In the mean time, I’m returning these and going back to using SureFire EP3’s or something similar with passive noise canceling.

Excellent headphones, I use them at the factory, much more comfortable than in large ones. Tell me, how can I purchase additional medium-sized inserts? Since it is recommended to change them regularly!

I’m happy with three other Howard Leight headsets, and the on-line reviews of these in-ear noise suppressors were good, so I gave them a try. They are seriously disappointing in so many ways. Firstly there is no way these things can be shaped to fit and remain in the ears. They aren’t like hearing aids and no matter how I tweaked them they would not stay in place over the ear nor would the earpieces remain in the ear. Secondly there is too much emphasis / dependence on Bluetooth. On the range I don’t want Bluetooth, I want good shot noise suppression and the ability to hear the RSO. If you don’t establish a Bluetooth connection to something these earbuds shut down in five minutes. There appears to be no workaround; no Bluetooth connection = automatic shutoff. Thirdly they are just cheaply made. The cord is too short to let you read the controller, which is small and does not clip to anything, it just hangs out in space. The buttons on the controller favor the Bluetooth functions and are small and hard to operate, especially if you are wearing shooting gloves. The important hear-through volume controls are tiny and on the side of the unit. All in all this was not one of my better purchases. I suggest staying with the earmuff-headset products.
