Almost didnt buy since some reviews stated this life jacket did not float. You have to order it WITH FOAM if you want it to float! I have used mine twice, and tested it thoroughly and this is an outstanding product, very much worth the money especially since it is hard to find any life vests in stores these days. This one rides up high, as it should to provide room while sitting in a kayak. I love all the many, many pockets (almost too many pockets, but you can never have too many). I am sure I could take the foam out and use as a regular fishing vest but I do not plan to.
Only recommendation to the manufacturer would be to provide at least 1 pocket with a plastic liner, or other mod to make that pocket waterproof, but the easy fix is to waterproof any valuables on my own.

Pro-Many pockets and zippers you probably don’t even need a tackle box. it’s light weight and keep you warm too.
Con–Too many pockets and zippers, cause your line to gets tangled constantly. The zippers have
slit at the base and the fishing line gets trapped all the time. Also, the pockets don’t have any lining inside and they will eventually come apart over time. You will need to cut these loose fibers frequently or else it will get tangled with your tackles-Extremely frustrating.

Have not used yet but tried on for a few hours and it’s nice and compact, easily adjustable, kinda stylish considering it’s a life jacket AND has a ton of pockets. The zipper holds are pretty cheap almost yarn-like cordage but they could easily be replaced in the future with better corsage if necessary. For the price, I’m pretty excited about it and will up or downgrade my review after a few uses.

I didn’t need it for fly fishing rather for fishing from a kayak. This IS a life saver and space saver. I was able to put all necessary fishing lures, baits, and hooks in the different compartments perfectly. Cell phone in one of the other pockets and the foam inside the vest was not at all restrictive like it would be in a regular life jacket. I was able to easily adjust it to be snug but not uncomfortable. Definitely recommend. If you are a poor swimmer do not rely on this like a regular life jacket, but if anything happens while fishing and you fall into the water, it is better to have something like this than nothing at all.
