   The knife was exactly as described by the seller, used but good condition. And it arrived quickly. While the one I received showed signs of wear and tear, none were serious enough to be concerned about, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the serial numbers matched. Be prepared to but some time and energy into cleaning off the grease, and addressing some minor issues like nicks in the blade, but you won’t regret the purchase as these are excellent knives that can really stand up to heavy use.

   Great for the value. After cleaning off the cosmoline and sharpening, the bayonet is basically pristine condition. It did take around 20 minutes to hone and sharpen.

   An excellent Cold War bayonet. The quality is reminiscent of a Soviet 6×4 knife. To get rid of preservative grease, I recommend using boiling water. In the army, they washed off the grease with water from a kettle, then wipe it dry with a rag or paper towels and it will look perfect. It can be sharpened, in the Soviet army the knife was not super sharp, but not as dull as this one. But this is easy to fix. Great price and fast shipping, and most importantly, you have an item with history. Well, the smell… which takes me back to the days of my youth, when the grass was greener and the sky bluer.
