UPDATE 4/15/2020
The light DOES fit on the XD. You have to kinda force it on. Use the C1 fitting, undo the bolt all the way, put the bolt side on first, CLAMP the light onto the rail (clamp the light to the gun as hard as you can), and tighten the bolt WHILE clamping the light to the firearm. Customer service with Nightstick is PHENOMENAL and they actually called me to make sure I got the light to fit on correctly. Their customer server is second to none and the products they stand behind are just as great. I am now a lifetime customer because of their customer support.
Original review:
Does not fit the Springfield XD (Does Mod2 according to the fitting chart, but I’m referring to the first XD); the light slides on on and off without the fittings, but once a fitting is put on, the light no longer slides in and the lip of the light does not go over the lip of the rail on the XD. Disappointing, as this light looks amazing on the gun, is very bright with a white, cooler temperature, and is very well built.

In order to turn light on, the cap must be turned 1/4 turn away from having the lens fall open to battery compartment. IMO this renders the light useless, as shooting would certainly cause the cap to fall off if the light is on.
I had to return the first light do to a complete flaw in design. The second light was better and could turn on before the lens fell off it. It was good enough for me, however the next time I used it, it wouldn’t work at all. So this product is 0/2. Very disappointed, waste of money.

Purchased for my duty weapon, Glock 45. If you’re familiar, the frame is the same (other then the grip) as a G19. The light sits flush with the muzzle. Controls are easily accessible and easy to use. You don’t have to take the light off your weapon, to change the battery. (Follow gun safety rules!) It does come with different plates, to fit different pistols. The one installed out of the box, fits perfect. Also, my Safariland duty holster, calls for a TLR-1, but this light fits the same.

What’s not to like? Costs $60.00 less than the Streamlight TLR-7A {which I also Own}, can’t tell much difference at all in the light output between the two, they use the same batteries, have identical controls and are the same size. Both fit my full sized Ruger American pistol without protruding from beneath the barrel. True, the on off switch is more sensitive on the Nightstick but I much prefer it that way as opposed to the heavy switch on the Streamlight which when mounted to my pistol requires that I use my free hand to activate. This is mounted on a home defense nightstand pistol so I couldn’t comment on issues involved with holster carry

First off. I love this light. It fits super tight on the weapons rail of my G23 Gen 5. I love the way the buttons are setup and the light itself is quite bright. It’s construction seems well. My druthers? The screw head that fastens the light to the weapon has the appearance of a flathead but when you look closer it has a concave cut in the head of the screw. A simple flathead screwdriver will not tighten the screw sufficiently. Always carry a couple of nickels with you if you need to tighten it or put it on another weapon. Also I personally would have liked there to be a strobe option on this light. Just my personal feeling. Still a great light at a great price.

Box was damaged battery and light were used with damage to the light. I ordered a replacement will see how it goes. (Update) after receiving a replacement that had all the parts and was brand new the light works perfect and does exactly what you need it to!
