   Don’t waste your money. I got this light issued to me and after a few hundred rounds broke and flew off my pistol mid shoot. The rail support in the center snapped. If you want quality go with surefire or streamlight.

   So far so good. Bright, good light throw, and great switch. Durability is still being tested. Setting the rail key is a piece of cake (a touch of thread locker doesn’t hurt). Depending on which rail key set is included, the ‘1911’ key is the ‘1913’ key as well.

   These NightSick lights are close to TLR-1 size, just a bit longer and fit in Safariland holsters that support a TLR-1 (kydex holsters will require reshaping due to the extra length).

   I really love this light, is super bright and easy to operate the controls. While st the range it fell off the rail, hit the floor, and the controls would not work properly. So I emailed the company asking how far their “limited lifetime warranty” went, explained the situation, and even though the damage was not technically a “manufacturer defect” that would be covered under warranty, they sent me a brand new one anyway, saying they know there may be ways to attach it to a gun so that it might fall off! I just got the replacement today, am super happy with it AND their customer service!

   Great light option for those with a budget in mind. Nightstick although not as proven as other brands has been great for me. I also own multiple Streamlight tlr1HLs and will say this is comparable. The switches feel a bit stiffer but I’d still say they are better than the rotary style switches you see on the TLR1. 4/5 because the switches IMO could be better, seeing that both sides work independently it would have been nice to have the momentary and permanent on switched on one of the sides, seeing that you have to flip the switches up to have the permanent on function. Also fits my TLR1 universal holster just fine

   I enjoyed this light until it died. I didn’t use it much, maybe a total of an hour’s run time. It mostly just stayed attached to a firearm in the closet. One day it just stopped working. I’ve replaced the batteries. I don’t know if the light can be or should be replaced. But right now I’m S.O.L. with this. Shame, it was really, really bright and just what I needed. If I thought it was a rare thing I might buy another, but I don’t have faith right now.

   UPDATE — I contacted customer service and they replied the next day, asking for proof of purchase and photos. Once sent, they informed me they’d replace the light. Not here yet but this is a fantastic response and earned a star back. If this shows up timely they get five stars!

   ANOTHER UPDATE — the new light arrived, it was just as stunningly bright as the original, and the service earned back the fifth star. If the thing fails again I’ll be back, but I have to say I’m impressed with the product and service.

    This is a very good light and will serve my purposes admirably. The best feature, in my opinion, between the Nightstick and the most-popular competitor is the switching. The switches on this unit are the same activation movements on the right and the left side. The mount is easy to use and seems very secure and no tools are required. The battery compartment is easy to access and secure. A Phillips head screwdriver required there.
