   I stumbled upon the Olight PL Turbo entirely by accident while perusing githubja.com. I own a number of Olight products, but this particular offering had a set of stats that caught my eye: 800 lumens and 66,000 candelas (?!) while supposedly providing sufficient spill for situational awareness. Regardless of lumen output, one usually has to decide between spill or throw. Of course, I had to order one to try out and see just how well it lives up to its claims. The center spot is about half the size of the center spot on my Olight Sigurd WML but much brighter (66k candelas vs 14k candelas? duh) and the spill cone is well defined at about a 60-degree spread vs the 120-degree spread on the Sigurd. The Sigurd has more situational awareness close-in but it’s going to take a night shoot at the range to determine if the PL Turbo’s spill is sufficient at all ranges. So far, I’m both pleased and impressed with the PL Turbo for long gun use, but range time is needed to make a final determination. 5 stars for now! ETA range time: After a nighttime shooting session, I can engage targets at 200yds with the same ease I can engage 100yd targets with the 1k lumen/20k candela Streamlight and spill seems sufficient for situational awareness. Impressive performance for so small and inexpensive a package! ETA2: I am so impressed with the performance/value of the PL Turbo that I’ve replaced all my other handgun/rifle lights with them. Only time will tell how well they hold up, but for now they are simply the best bang for your buck WML currently available, imho. ETA3: Added a photo taken at my local range, 50yd target is slightly to the right of the hotspot, hotspot is centered on the 100yd target, 200yd target just visible in the distance. Still loving this WML!
