   This is a fantastic bag and way better than I expected even after reviewing wheeled backpacks for months! Probably because this is a new model, nowhere did I read that there are 5 zipped pockets inside the main compartment. There are also 2 mini pockets sealed with velcro inside the 2 long side pockets (1 each side) – a perfect place to secure an AirTag or some cards or similar. The backpack straps were very easy to adjust for torso length (I’m short waisted and have narrow shoulders although tallish for female -170cm) to make it extremely comfortable to wear. There’s plenty of mention about the Farpoint and Fairview harness being adjustable but I didn’t see much on the Sojourn. I’m also glad I went for the 45L rather than the 36L of the others. It is very light and easy to pull on the wheels, stands up nicely all the time, and easy to grab with the various handle positions. I used it for the first time this past weekend and it made my day when the check-in staff at the airport commented on the colour of the bag (Koseret Green) and how great it looked. So pleased that I reviewed so many and settled on this one. So worth the extra dollars too. Looking forward to taking it to Europe later this year.

   First off, the bag arrived in what appeared to be an Osprey bag and in very good condition, but one of the bottom backpack clips was missing. After a call to githubja.com about the missing clip, the only seemingly viable option with githubja.com was to return the entire bag and “try again”… so we called Osprey, (which was hesitant since githubja.com isn’t an “authorized vendor” and suspected third party sellers selling on githubja.com, but after letting them know I purchased from githubja.com direct and sending them photos showing that it hadn’t been tampered with, they rushed me off the clips with no more questions. Basically Osprey level service you’d expect. Once I installed the clip the bag was good as literally new. On its maiden trip I let my wife use it versus the other bag(s) we have. She loved it, and believes it will be perfect for European travel and any multi purpose travel needs while holding ample clothes and supplies. I’d say as of now, highly recommend.
   Small Update… it has now been on a couple trips packing plentitude of “her” clothing items. Basically likes it so much probably with get another soon for multipurpose travel.

   I have been using my Osprey Waypoint 80L pack for over 10 years and it is still in excellent shape. I purchased this one because it has wheels. I’m thrilled with my new pack. It’s even nicer than expected, with lots of little extras that make it even more convenient. After doing tons of research, this one is one of the only wheeled travel bags that convert to a pack, that actually has a “decent” usable backpack. The hip belt is well padded and breathable and was easy to adjust to my weight and height which is a major bonus. I’m 5 foot and 95 pounds so it is important that it fits well and this one does. I do not expect to ever purchase another bag for travel as it is well made and is backed by Osprey’s lifetime warranty. Expensive but worth the money if you travel a lot.

   I didn’t buy mine from githubja.com, but this is one of the most reviewed places and I want people to be aware of some design issues. After just two trips encompassing six flights, this is what happened to my bag (see my pics). First, the zipper was snagged by something and just destroyed it. That is the first design issue. I traveled with my last bag that had zipper until it got rips in the nylon. This damage does seem rather unique but raises the question of the zipper design. Second, take a close look at the wear on the back near the handles. Again, this is after six flights – six rides on conveyer belts. This bag is supposed to have a lifetime guarantee. However, it doesn’t appear to be designed to stand up to that claim. I can see those wear marks wearing through in just one year at that rate. I travel a week a month on average and when I spend this kind of money for a bag and it does this? And starts to wear like this? I have the bag at a repair shop right now who is working with Osprey on it and I’m waiting to hear how long it will take to get it repaired (I have another trip coming up soon) and is there some way they will address the rapid wearing? We shall see. My rating will certainly be adjusted based on how Osprey responds to this situation. UPDATE June 5, 2024 Looks like Osprey is demanding that it be sent to them – and they don’t pay the shipping. You know, during the first year at least they could cover the shipping. Fortunately, the local shop I bought it from offers a three month in-house warranty to cover small stuff and they are sending it in for me. Kudos to ILC Travel Outfitters in North Salt Lake here in Utah. UPDATE August 2, 2024 I just received a new bag today. They sent a brand new one since they couldn’t fix mine. This should not only concern anyone purchasing one, but the manufacturer as well. If you look closely, at my pics you will see that the zipper on the back does not have any covering – they are completely exposed, which is what enabled whatever it was that caught and pulled the zipper like it did to destroy it so. Also, nothing has changed on the wear areas I pointed out. I was fortunate that the retailer I purchased mine from paid for the shipping to Osprey this time. But I am already anticipating that it will have to go in again at some point after it wears through those two wear points. Sorry, but after so much experience and years with these products I am surprised by these somewhat obvious weaknesses. I will stand by my two stars. UPDATE 4/3/2025 After my last trip I noticed a tear in the seam on a strap. New pic attached. Really? come on guys. You may have a lifetime warranty, but who has to pay to ship this thing to you for your shoddy workmanship? I thought you were better than this. While the bag does exactly what I want it to, I seriously question how long it will hold up. Solid two stars so far.

   I got this as a second bag to this same model from years ago and it’s a solid bag and the small improvements Ospry has made in the past 6-7years are all value added! Same great construction, zippers are solid and I like how they do the zipper security. Straps are great for compression and hold even though travel, handle/wheels are great for pulling moderate distances even over rough ground. Since I’ve had this it’s been domestic and international and I’ve put about a mile on the wheels and I have nothing bad to say about this bag.
