   I had the smaller version and loved it but needed something to fit my ipad pro in and this worked perfectly with plenty of space for all my other gadgets, accessories, a 600 page book and more

   I’ve had the small Rover for several years and I have loved it. I thought I would upgrade to the larger size for more gear. Unfortunately, the only difference between the small and large is the height. The main compartment is quite a bit taller, so that’s great for longer items. However, the front top compartment is the same size as the small. The larger front compartment is taller but actually has less usable space. Rather, I should say that it has less organizable space. The pockets are smaller. There’s 4 elastic loops versus 7 in the small size. Each of those is narrower than those in the small. While the compartment is taller, it’s not as deep and the gear I had in the small size won’t fit. Also, as with the small size, the fabric that seperates the 2 lower front compartments is very thin and it really should be the canvas material instead for added strength. This is still a good bag and I’ll make it work for something else.

   My previous Red Rock(next size down) zippers never busted nor did the threads come undone. That little bag took a beating too. I use to coach Baseball so my previous bag took a beating in the dug out and in my truck with all the equipment and the zippers never busted nor did binding come undone on it. I will have to include a picture of my previous bag. The only reason why I purchased a new bag was because I don’t coach anymore and my previous bag was pretty dirty. My current bag(i owned it for about 2 years), the zipper has busted and prior to the zipper busting, the zipper was already getting caught on the loose threads. Speaking of loose threads, the threads on my newer bag are coming undone all over it.

   You’ll never run out of pockets on this sling pack – they’ve thought of everything. It’s well-made and so far it’s been durable and comfortable to wear. I bought this to carry while skiing (sling packs are easy to slide around to your front when getting on a lift) and it’s the perfect size, while also providing easy access to everything I carry.

   My old Red Rock Outdoor Gear sling bag broke (my own fault), so I ordered this one as a replacement. I ordered the large because I ride a motorcycle and like to pack my gun, other random stuff, and my lunches in there. The bag doesn’t hold as much as it seems, and the “ambidextrous”, center-mounted strap is a little funky. These are mostly my own preferences, and the bag is made of good, quality materials, so no actual complaints lol

   I love this bag. I have customized it with add-ons using the Molle straps for my fly fishing gear. Perfect for hiking into those tough spots and carry’s everything I need and then some. just hoping the quality will hold up… time will tell. but at this price point was worth the chance over brand name “fishing” sling packs

   Bought in 2019, used it everyday, now 2023 and finally the zipper has started to come unthreaded. As I am happy to have gotten 4 years of use out of it, It saddens me that i have to retire it due to craftmanship / manufactor defect. Overall, I may purchase another one once I cant stand the zipper situation anymore.

    This is the second RedRock bag I’ve bought. The first is still going strong after 5 years of steady use back and forth to work. No issues, i just wanted a larger one. There were no coyote or brown coloured ones left so I got gray and it’s nice too.

    At first glance this pack is very well constructed, heavy duty zippers, buckles, clips, and velcro. Time will tell how it holds up, but the last one had several years of being toted around daily. By far better than other brands seenbon githubja.com.

    Great pack but was to small for what i wanted to use it for. I work in IT and the main compartment would not fit my 14″ lenovo think pad yoga 460 or my dell latitude e7470. After reviewing alot of bags, this one stated it was a large. The description used to have a 17″ x ? X ?, so i thought it would fit a 14″ device. Now i see the description states a 13″ laptop. Day late for me as i have already returned mine.
