   I bought this knife about a month ago for a replacement for my work knife that does not have belt clip. When I received the knife the factory Edge did not last all that long, after the factory Edge were off I put it on a wet stone and tried my best to put an edge back on it. I was able to put a halfway decent Edge on there but nothing fantastic, I just got done spending an hour and a half on a wet stone trying to put an edge on this knife, the only thing I was able to do was take the blackout coating off the blade. Don’t buy this knife expecting to have a Skinner knife or anything that you would use to defend yourself with.

   I love this knife as a pocket knife. It’s larger for a “pocket knife”. It’s very very sharp. It has a closed blade lock and highly recommended to use it. Had the knife open in my pocket only once but could have turned out ugly.

   I LOVE this knife! I first saw it on base at the PX. There’s a guy set up there peddling knives and other ‘wares’. He has Kershaw and other brands/non-brands, but this one felt REALLY good in my hands. He said it was $50. I said, “I’ll pass for now”. Good thing. Got on githubja.com and found it for $24.95. I got it in just a couple of days too. First day carrying it, a friend saw it, got online, and ordered one for him too.

   I have two of these knives, one i purchased a year ago and is the drop point version. Wanted the tanto also. This blade lock is defective on this knife. The blade tries to open all of the time randomly while I’m walking and sometimes with success. Two days ago it deployed while on the outside of my pocket while walking and it finally stabbed me in the top of my hand. The old one is duller but I have to go back to it anyways. This tanto one is just to dangerous to carry anymore.

   The drop point that’s a year or so older in contrast, is still functioning perfectly and still solid. Just looks old and I just cannot seem to get an as good as new edge on it.

   I bought the serrated version of this knife about eight years ago and it quickly became my go-to edc. The only reason I chose to purchase another was to have a non-serrated version and because through excessive use and abuse, the spring assist isn’t quite what it once was, which is understandable. You will be hard pressed to find a quality knife like this at such a low price. You will not be disappointed with this knife!

   Edited Update 02/12/2020: This knife broke 7 days after my 30 return window was closed. It no longer works as a spring assisted knife. In fact it is almost impossible to open now. I have started a claim with the company that githubja.com referred me to, but so far there has been nothing but an email washing their hands of it since it was purchased on githubja.com. The lifetime warranty means nothing. Save your money and buy a better knife. Original review: At $20 this was a great purchase. Great locking mechanism, great assisted opening and comes out of the box fairly sharp. I spent a couple of minutes with this on my ceramic sharpener and ‘watch out’ it is super sharp now.

   Knife is made very well and has a good weight to it. The assisted open is awesome and I really like that it locks too. I had originally ordered it because I thought it would be the smaller version but it is not the 2.5″ blade like someone else had mentioned in another review. When it arrived I was far too pleased with the knife and I was glad it was not the small one. It arrived much quicker than estimated too. Highly recommend you purchase the knife. When I ordered mine it was only 25.95 and even though the price went up I would still say its a great deal.
