Smith & Wesson M&P SWMP3BSD 7.1in S.S. Assisted Knife Review Verified Buyer –

Awesome knife, the first one i had for years and abused the heck out of it and it never broke or let me down. Very sharp out of the box. The only reason i ordered a new one is the wife accidentally threw it in the washing machine/dryer and the tumbling in a steel drum broke the sharp tip off. Resharpened it but still just not the same as a new one. I would buy this knife again in a second.

So far so good, came it sharp… i would recommend this knife. As a always carry. Easy to open. Lock for safety. Glass breaker. Portable. Lightweight. Tecnicly a good companion for your pocket and safety. Let me just say its a weapon still don’t play with it. And because its a fast opener “snap” be careful around kids.

Bought to replace lost edc. went thru 4 knifes before settling on this one. This knife is well weighted for its size. it has a snappy assist opening. great one handed closing. the ergonomics to the handle is very good. the clip is too strong and it takes alot to get it to clip to pocket. the clip is not moveable to the opposite side. the clip exposes to much of the knife. i wish there was a darker color. this will be my edc for now, but there is one more knife i would like to try out. out of the last 10 edc i have had this one ranks second only to the Buck knife i lost.

Excellent knife. I’ve bought it three times now, and others just don’t compare to it in my mind.
It’s good & sharp, the assisted open is swift and strong, I love that it’s got a switch that keeps it from opening up in my bag, and the cherry on top is the window-break on the bottom for emergency evacuation from your vehicle. It fits well in my hand- I have very small women’s hands- and I never leave home without one if I can help it.
Go for the clamshell packaging if you plan on using this as an EDC like me, it’ll never go back in the box so save yourself the five bucks, but PLEASE be careful opening the packaging- I’ve seen people in the reviews mention it, so I will too. I can see how it would be very easy to seriously cut yourself with one wrong move. Use sharp kitchen scissors and cut it out slowly around the perimeter, use common sense.

Incredible knife. This product met all of my criteria: Tanto-style blade, spring-assisted, safety switch, window breaker. The knife is incredibly sturdy and I have not had to tighten anything as of yet (~6 months). I have used it to open packages, cut ceiling tiles, cut rope, etc. and blade is still incredibly sharp. I did not realize that this knife is also sold at Academy in black for relatively the same price as githubja.com (excluding sales tax). If only S&W made a variation of this knife with a seat belt cutter..!

This knife is terrific! For the price you cannot ask for better. It comes extremely sharp, the MAGIC assist is super fast, there is a safety so it doesn’t accidentally open in your pocket, and the list goes on and on. I’ve carried this knife for a while now and the two things that kinda bug me about it is that the pocket clip at first is extremely tight and the fact that it rides a little to high in the pocket. So when i first tried to slip it onto my pocket i nearly ripped my pants and then when i tried to get it off it would not move, i had to use two hands, but now that i have used it for some time now it is a lot easier to clip on to your pants pocket. And it kinda just sits really awkwardly when it is clipped on, it looks like you have a triangle coming out of your pocket. But i mean those are really the only two things wrong with this knife. I have opened and closed it hundreds, if not thousands of times and the MAGIC assist is still as fast a ever. No blade play at all. I am super impressed.

I loved this knife for work. Quick opening and I used the window breaker to break down boxes without having to open the knife. Came sharp. Unfortunately, it’s not very durable. I’ve been through 2 because I really like the size and functionality. Partially Serrated and a pocket clip is great. The blade isn’t very strong though. I’d love a high quality knife with the same features.
