Not like the earlier version. Quality issues. Finish is bad. Very difficult to open with one had. Knife handle is rough and sharp, shreds the inside of pockets. Will be returned. Very disappointed.

This SOG knife is good quality and the overall design works as an EDC or knife used for “rescue” use. The biggest drawback is the roughness of the handle material. It’s similar to carrying a knife handle wrapped in sandpaper that is high friction and it WILL wear out your pants pocket material. If might be great for wet hands but you’ll still need to pull it out, which is far from smooth. It’s a nice knife and if I kept it, I would have sanded down the grips until they weren’t as rough.

Great knife, built well. The handle has a rough surface for sure grip even if wet. The down side is it is a little too big for a daily carry knife. I put it with a to go bag and bought a Kershaw speedsafe for daily pocket knife.
