   Couldn’t find any bears to test it on so I’ll have to accept that it works as advertised but I’ve seen videos that show it works. It comes with a holster not all sprays do. The holster is well thought out allowing for quick deployment by either sliding the canister up and out or the gap at the front allows you to pull the canister straight out the front. The holster has a polymer integral belt catch so that it can easily be added or removed from your belt but still provides enough retention that you don’t have to worry about it falling off and getting lost . I would have preferred a metal belt catch as I’m not 100% sure how well the polymer will perform in very cold temperatures. The canister has a bright orange safety with a retention bungee so you won’t lose it or accidentally spray yourself or your gear.

   I always gravitate towards this brand of bear spray and the only thing that would make it better, would be if it was paired with the correct holster.

   The one it comes with is kind of flimsy…which is fine because I have a high quality holster that also happens to have an attached alarm.

   I would HIGHLY recommend using this product with a better holster (like the ADS Bearspray Holster) because at the end of the day, your life depends on it. You should use the best of the best to improve mitigate your risks as much as possible.

   It would be a dream come true if the best bear spray was coupled with the best holster on the market!!!

   What a great value. These pepper power bear deterrent bottles are huge. The expiration date is December of 2028. Each bottle comes with a holster that can be clipped onto the belt or onto your inside pant top. These are tested to shoot 30 to 35 ft of a fog that is said to work on all bear species including polar bears. Also when deploying the can they are said to make a hissing noise that also deters the bear. Being such a large bottle makes me feel safe when I go into the woods I’ll be carrying this and have plenty of spray as compared to something much smaller. Obviously, I haven’t tested this on any bears, but from reading the directions and knowing that this was made here in the United States, I’m confident that it will work for me as a bear deterrent. I would suggest reading the detailed instructions on how to deploy the bear spray as there are different ways and suggestions on how to do so including from your waist. I have looked up law enforcement types of pepper spray deterrent and this bear spray deterrent is quite a bit stronger so be careful and not use this around people. Also there’s a suggestion that you do not want to keep this in a hot vehicle because it could burst the can which would be something that nobody wants to have to deal with. I would also suggest storing it in a locked container to keep away from children and have it secured in the container so it can’t bounce around cuz you do not want this to be accidentally deployed when you’re not needing it.
