   I didn’t realize I paid so much for this. Its a great light, A light press is low beam. push in cycles low, off, high, off. It is a durable metal and decent light but not a lot of throw. Sure fire is a great brand but you can et a number of Stream Lights for half the price. I like the high visibility yellow and its the only reason why I got it. oh and the extra batteries. so you actually get two sets. I have large hands so the larger grip is nice, however it will be rather bulky in a pocket. I wanted it for late night dog walks to pick up after her. I would rather have a shorty 1 cell light for that. I would use it for an emergency light in my vehicle.

   these are my go to lights for work when only the best will do. i always start on the low setting until i see how much light is necessary then go to the high beam.

   Have owned 5 Surefire lights prior to them going all LED. The incandescents produced a slightly more even illumination beam but they ran burn your house down hot, were rather fragile and had a limited bulb life. And they used up a ton of batteries. I have 3 of their LED lights including the G2X Pro. These flashlights correct all the bulb issues of the non LED lights. A 600 lumen light is astonishingly bright if you’ve never witnessed it. The low power 15 lumen setting is a better bet most of the time and extends battery life to over 50 hours. Small enough to easily fit in a coat pocket and a must have item to keep in your vehicle for emergencies.
