   Purchased to mount to a rifle. Although not recommended for that application from Surefire, many reviewers have stated the g2x series absolutely works. I’ve had no issues with it under recoil. One con is that the od green only comes in duel mode g2x pro (low then high). But don’t let that discourage you from purchase in a g2x pro model. It can be easily converted to just a high out put only. Bigest con with these Surefire g2x lights in general is that they only can use cr123 batteries. If they made ones that could use a single rechargeable 18650 it would greatly improve run time. Although some rechargeable cr123a batteries are on the market, most are junk and can’t compare to quality Japanese 18650’s (Sony, lg, Samsung)

   This thing rocks. It was relatively affordable. It’s durable. It’s bright AF…as in I can use it as a spotlight to see across my field in the dead of night. Fits most 1” weapon mounts. If you don’t need super bright, the low power mode is an option and should give you longer battery life. I use mine regularly and am still on the original batteries after several months. Highly recommended

   I was looking to add a light to an akm and this worked perfectly with a 1″ diameter barrel clamp mount from khyber customs. Great bang for your buck. Barn is approximately 40-50 yards away.

   I work in the aircraft maintenance field and this light was purchased for my everyday carry. The two brightness options are wonderful and I rarely use the extremely bright setting for inspections because it really is too bright for most of the situations I encounter. Have had this in use for the past couple months and still have the original set of batteries that came with it.

   just what I’m looking for. Not retina searing 1500 lumen. 600 lumen is perfect for not washing out a scene, and plenty bright for anything you need. I have some uber bright PWL’s and most are not suitable for indoors. Fine for outdoors, just not for an indoors situation. This is a fine product at a fair price. The extra batteries are a bonus.

   Bright and compact. Love carrying this in the truck or in a pocket. It’s VERY bright at full power. The extra batteries are handy to have but after 4 months I haven’t had to change the batteries with moderate use.
