Tossed this on my home D gun. 4.5 inch barrel, with a can, and a 7 inch rail…(means not much space). Keeps light out of the way when mounting and “c” clamping my upper. Fits on any X-series (X200, X300, X400). Attached to a Picatinny rail. This a witch clips to Picatinny rail and features constant-on/off pushbutton switch, momentary-on pressure pad, and a lockout toggle switch to prevent accidental discharge of the light. The pressure pad is stiff even when clamping you do really need to push to illuminate I’m not operator but if you run and X-series this is an awesome product.

I bought this for an X300 ultra. The switch itself works great, the only thing I don’t like is the momentary/constant on tape switch that it came with. It is pretty big compared to a regular tape switch and didn’t seem to want to stay on my hand guard without some extra help. I opted to use a regular surefire tape switch that I had laying around and attached it to a vertical grip. I do like the disable switch on it so if you don’t want the light to come on that is an option. My other weapon light does not have that option other than to un-screw the tail cap until it is disabled.

This is a great replacement end for the Surefire light/laser. Works very well – never fails. The orig eq end folds off & you install the new end w/ the switch. Super easy.

This switch kit is a very good tool to have for your X series products from Surefire. It will work on the older X200, the new X300, or the X400, which has the laser on it as well. It has a master switch on it, to shut the light off and prevent unwanted activation. The rail mounted controller has a push button on/off switch, and a pressure pad, and the controller mounts easily on a rail system.
One thing to be aware of is the length of the cable – it’s quite long, so if you have a shorter handguard like a 7 or 9 inch one, you’ll have to have the controller on the other side of the handguard, as the cable is too long for same side mounting. This isn’t a big issue, as I find the optimal set up for a right handed person is the light on the left, and the controller on the right, for activation with your left, support, hand.
The controller unit is removable from the light switch, and you can install a pressure pad only switch, in case you want to have the pad mounted on a foregrip.

This is a wonderful product. A little pricey, but well worth it. Heavy duty and able to withstand tough conditions. Fits on picatinny rail anywhere you want it. Has a toggle switch at the light to keep it from being activated accidentally or while stored. With the toggle switch on, the remote switch becomes active. Easy to use with existing X-300 weaponlights. Can be activated intermittently with the pressure switch or constantly with the regular switch. Thoughtful, useful design. I have three and use them on a Sig M400 (AR-15), a DSA SA58 (FAL), and an M14 (M1A), all of which have X-300’s mounted on rails. This allows perfect functionality for the lights without lowering the weapon. I consider it an exceptional product and a must have if you want to use lights with your rifles.

Works great so far on my Surfire x 300 ultra. 500rd CQB rang day test and still no issues. Ive been running Shurfire equipment since OIF 06. But Its Shurfire, of course it works!! Is it worth the cost that’s for you to choose.

Have this connected to my SureFire X400. Works beautifully. The push pad is a good sensitivity, the wire a good length and the quality is great as expected of SureFire.

I’m buying switch as a replacement. I got 10 years of hard use out of the last one. Buying good gear seems expensive but it is far cheaper in the long run.
