After watching some youtube reviews of this knife I decided to buy it. The knife is large and that is a good thing. If your hands are large or you prefer to use a glove with a knife then you are in luck. My hands are smallish and cannot practically use the retaining ring except in a forward machete grip. In a reverse grip I can use the ring as a hammer to complement my English boxing striking style. Using the karambit as a hammer puts the hand in a stronger position for ulnar deviation which means more efficient energy transfer for knife handling and meat slicing. I would like a model that has serrations on half the blade near the handle end and either a heavier retainer ring or an option to replace the handles for heavier material.

Overpriced & Overhyped! How could a $210.00 Karambit Knife made in the USA be shipped just in a clear plastic sandwich bag type packaging?!!? (even if it were on sale for $150.00).. Really lame & disappointing! i also purchased a competitive brand that was superior to this knife for less than half the cost.. The packaging on the competitor brand also came in a beautiful black gift box in with a foam lining.
This Karambit is also Not worth the cost or price! This Karambit Knife from Tops should retail for $98, at best!

Great knife. The tip broke off very easily. Very thin up there. A little resharpening and it’s amazing and tough. Would recommend this for anyone wanting a very large karambit

This knife is so big I am having to re-work my hand styles for this karambit. The knife quality from TOPS is five star (as are all my TOPS knives). The blade is a little more shallow than the usual “raptor” karambit which is a big plus for me! Get it, learn it and love it! WOO-WOO!!

A little tricky to resheath without practice but an excellent blade. The tip point narrows down to a shockingly sharp point. The point at the end of the blade reminds me of the spiderco civilian tip, only much larger.

It is sturdy and sharp. If you put a work glove on it’s good, and the ring is built to accommodate that. I think rounding off or flattening the interior edge of the ring would be good for it’s comfort of use. Especially for if it gets caught on something it doesn’t cut through cleanly. This would also make it much more comfortable without gloves.
