Got this vest today and I am more than pleased. I’m not a small person and with just a few minutes of adjustments it fits perfect. The quality is excellent, the stiching is very good and I don’t forsee any problems at all. The vest is light weight and venilated to allow breathing. I like that the pouchs as well as the belt holders are snap as well as velcro. Double security. Hey for the money you just can’t go wrong here!

On the same order, I purchased two vest from them – both GI – two completely different pictures. This one looks like it has vertical pouches, the other diagonal. Also different colors in their pics. This one was $20, the other was $15. I bought both so that I could see which I liked better. When they They were identical. Higher charge for the same thing. Wrong picture. Tried to call several times and no answer. Not very happy with them. The vests are decent, just not the one that is pictured here.

This vest is extremely solid. As was pointed out by another reviewer, it isn’t actually a vest, but that’s what I expected. So far, I really like it. It holds 4 AR-15 magazines easily and if you are using metal mags it could hold up to eight (two per pouch).
If you use PMAGs, you may not be able to get in more than one per pouch. The pockets are slanted, which doesn’t really show up in the picture but it works well. The first thing I noted upon receiving it was that it is crazy sturdy and should hold up to tons of abuse.

First, I want to say that I’m happy with my purchase but I made some assumptions about the rigging that didn’t prove to be true.
One of the big assumptions I made was about there being MOLLE attachments. From the pictures it looks like there might be, but it turns out these are just reinforcing straps. This isn’t a deal breaker, but greatly reduces flexibility and utility of this item.
Wear is comfortable, and all strapping is easy to adjust. Only real function of this harness seems to be as a means to carry rifle magazines. Pouches on the harness are too big to securely hold much else. That’s fine with me, as I will find a reason to wear it to the shooting range.
That all being said, there are better ways to haul some magazines around. Unless you are an aficionado of historic military gear, pass on this one and grab a more modern vest with MOLLE webbing so you can outfit yourself with the configuration of pouches and pockets you want.

This is an awesome piece. I love it. There are lots of Add on straps. Allows room for shotgun scabbard on the back, I bought a used one so it was already broken it. My only complaint it that the pouches are a little tight on 7.62 mags. 5.56 mags fit great. Overall good rig I’m a pretty big human at 6′ 225lbs and it fits great with tons of room for adjust up and down.

MY squad and detail, as well as my little group of survival operators at home, still use these in training ops and other operations in the field. Personally i think these work just as well or even better than those flashy molle system you see these kids wearing these days. I set mine up real well and its a dream. I ordered the absolute cheapest one these guys had used. I tracked it everyday and it arrived at my doorstep seriously 2 or 3 days after i ordered. It shipped so fast, i didn’t really expect it. The item was also in great shape to my surprise. Good enough for me to use during field training. Nothing falls apart, no rips, no faulty buckles, velcro and snaps still good. and all components in perfect working order. I might just order 4 more of these babies. It may look dumb to you young people, but the operators in a certain platoon i know still use these even on deployment. Also, many other SEAL units may use these. Very happy with this. I got this vest to help me carry some of my survival gear and it is perfect for that. Looks brand new, no damage or weird smell, very well made and I am a big person 300 lbs, and it fit me just fine, totally adjustable in almost every way so it can fit any body type. If you want this vest for ammo like its intended or for survival stuff this vest will do it well and still leave your back free for a rifle/cross bow/shotgun or backpack.

I just received this UAG it looks nice and strong, fits great! but when I looked closer it looks like a lot of the material is glued together…other from that I tugged on it as much as I could and it still held up so I’m guessing it will hold…..hope this helps
