   Bag is very well constructed but that’s about it. There is ZERO organization to this pack. It’s obvious they just want you to buy all their tactagami pouches. This is nothing but 2 big pouches and a small admin style pouch lined with Velcro. Zero small pockets for smaller items. This is an obvious cash grab and it’s disgusting.

   I already own a Vertx Overlander 45L pack and have been so impressed with it that I decided to get this smaller 28L cousin. I am really pleased with this pack; it is quite a voluminous 28-Liter pack and works wonderfully as a travel pack, mission pack, range bag, or carry Bag for an SBR. Pros: – It is a true 28L pack that will accommodate a wide range of essentials. With one main dump compartment, a front pocket, and front dump kangaroo pocket, along with a pair of side water bottle pockets. – There is a well stitched top grab handle. – The shoulder harness is well padded, and it has tabs for routing a hydration hose, and each shoulder strap has a built-in stretchy accessory pocket (the pockets are not large enough for a phone, however, but more sized for an energy bar or flashlight). – Generously sized exterior water bottle pockets are large enough to hold a quart-sized water bottle. – There is an internal 15-inch laptop sleeve that you can remove if you do not wish to use it. – Very well-padded and stiffened back-panel that creates some structure and prevents the contents of your pack poking your back. – The interior Velcro is a lighter color than the exterior nylon, making it easier to locate specific contents within. – Comes with sternum-strap to help keep the shoulder harness from sliding off your shoulders, and a removeable waist strap to keep the pack from bouncing when on the go. – It is made of durable heavy-duty nylon materials and the stitching appears robust and durable. – Lockable beefy Zippers and the zipper pulls don’t jingle. – It is hydration bladder compatible with a hanging tab and hose pass-through port. – Has a full-length Velcro backing on the main compartment, and a strip on the outer compartment, for adding the Vertx Tactigami or aftermarket accessories. – The bottom inside of the main compartment has a Velcro opening so that you can replace the stiffened back panel with an armor plate if you so desire. – It’s fairly lightweight for its feature set at around 30-ounces. Cons: – The outer pocket has an L-shaped zipper. I would have preferred it open all the way around on both sides of the pocket with dual zipper sliders. – Although the rigid back-panel is great at keeping contents from poking against your back and there are some airflow cutouts with mesh sections, you’ll still sweat a lot in hot environments. More mesh would likely be better. Despite my nitpicks, it is a really nice pack that is great for inconspicuous travel, mission specific tasks, on the range, or as a bugout bag. It is admittedly pricey, but Vertx is a well-respected and well-established brand in the tactical world that makes high quality gear that is regularly used and trusted by government agencies.
