   I use them for hunting, with really noisy environment it’s not the best for filtering out noise like just hearing birds or a deer grunt. But on those quite days you can hear things a mile away. When shooting its really odd as you hear the echo much louder, and it sounds like a holly wood version of a gunshot (30.06 in the bush). They are made well and I used them pretty steady for two weeks in the cold and the batteries held up, which was a surprise. I would buy again.

   I was quite surprised the difference these 27 NRR make over my older 23 NRR in an indoor range. Now I can hear clearly the person I’m talking too and experience a better noise reduction at the same time. The control placement is very nice and the audio is super crisp and loud. Barely have to turn the volume up. Build feels solid and seal feels good.

   If you want to hear conversation, then forget using these. If you want to hear every bit of ambient noise all around you, then these are for you.

   I would have to take these off just to hear what someone was saying because ambient noise was amplified so loudly.

   The 3M peltor sport tactical 300 are MUCH better for hearing conversation.

   These were hands down one of the most important shooting range accessories for me. I was worried about getting enough protection but also still being able to hear clearly. In the small indoor range I was able to carry on a conversation with my friend and still block out the gun shots to a comfortable level. They are comfortable on my head for the entirety of the range session. The adjustments for the ear mics are simple and easy to use. They feels well built for the price.
